A standard set of assessment criteria are used to grade all inspected hoiday accommodation, and cover public areas, interior, bathroom and toilets. Accommodation is categorised according to the following:

Category 1: Accessible to an independent wheelchair user (sign has the wheelchair symbol)

Category 2: Accessible to a wheelchair user with assistance (sign has person pushing a Wheelchair user)

Category 3: Accessible to someone with mobility difficulties, but able to walk up to a maximum of three steps (sign has a man with a stick).
